Box-type transformers are divided into American-style and European-style types.
American-Style Features:
The combined transformer (commonly known as American-style box transformer or box-type transformer) features low loss, low noise, and a long service life. The box-type substation is primarily composed of multiple electrical units—such as multi-circuit high-voltage switch systems, armored busbars, integrated substation automation systems, communication, remote control, metering, capacitor compensation, and DC power supplies—all installed within a moisture-proof, rust-proof, dust-proof, rat-proof, fire-resistant, theft-proof, heat-insulated, fully enclosed, movable steel structure box. It integrates mechanical and electrical systems for fully enclosed operation.
European-Style Features:
It features an independent transformer chamber, allowing for the selection of dry-type or oil-immersed transformers. The high-voltage switchgear, transformer, and low-voltage switchgear are integrated into a single unit, offering strong成套性 (complete set capability). The box body possesses five-prevention functions, ensuring safe and reliable operation with simple maintenance. It requires less space, involves lower investment, has a short production cycle, and is easy to relocate. Grounding solutions are flexible and diverse. Its structure is unique: the shell material can be made of stainless steel alloy, aluminum alloy, cold-rolled plate, ceramic tiles, eco-friendly materials, etc., providing sturdiness, good heat insulation, and heat dissipation. Its aesthetically pleasing appearance can harmonize and unify with the style of local buildings. The high-voltage side generally uses a combination of load switches and fuse protection equipment; load switches can be of the pressure-air type, vacuum type, SF6 type, etc., and can be equipped with electrical operating mechanisms. The main switch on the low-voltage side uses either universal or intelligent circuit breakers for selective protection. Outgoing switches often utilize molded case circuit breakers, with multiple circuits and equipped with intelligent reactive power compensation devices. They are widely used in urban power grid renovations, residential areas, high-rise buildings, industrial parks, factories, temporary construction power supply sites, airports, oil fields, docks, highways, and other outdoor locations.
Scope of Application:
Suitable for urban public power distribution, street lighting, industrial and mining enterprises, urban buildings, residences, mountainous areas, hotels, parks, and construction sites. It can achieve both loop-network and terminal power supply modes.

Over the past two decades, the company's box-type transformers have been sold to multiple countries and regions both domestically and internationally. Notably, in 2016, the company collaborated with ZTE Energy to export 20 American-style box transformers to Pakistan for China's Belt and Road Initiative projects.
